What about Brahma chickens? I have one, she's still a baby, but absolutely adorable.

I have 6 that are 6 weeks old that are very skittish still. Will they become more adjusted as they get older? Thank you

Oh I hope so. Mine is only a month old. So, yours are older than mine. I've read the more you handle them the better. I sit with mine often. While sitting there they get very close, peck me, walk on me etc... But, when it's time to bring them in or out. It's total chaos. Running away like they're going to the slaughter house.... YIKES!
But, I'm hopeful.

I love Brahmas! I had two buff Brahmas and six light Brahmas, they were all pretty skittish at first, they are now my sweetest hens! They just need lots of love and attention.

Hi Sara and Andy, thanks for joining us! I've found that sitting quietly with the youngsters and holding a bit of a treat (like dried mealworms) can help them figure out you are not a threat. Good luck with your young flock!

Yes that's what mine are doing so we must be on track !
