brahma...colors

Are there any other colors that brahmas come in besides light, dark, and buff here in the United states. I'm considering getting some, but would love something besides these basic three colors. I've seen the silver laced brahmas on here before, but wanted to know if there was anything else

Yep There are the Silver laced Brahmas here deleloped by Big Medicine, he also has Blue laced Red projects as well, but both of those are going to be a bit pricey. Dan Powell has developed some AMAZING Buff laced Brahmas, and again, they are expensive, but nothing compared to what both of them have put into making them.

There are also a handful of Partridge Brahmas her as well and Black Brahma Bantams.

And I think thats about it.

I have black brahmas, am working on partridge, and white. I also have barred brahmas and am working on mille fleur brahmas and blue silver partridge. I have a few red brahmas also. All largefowl none for sale right now, except barred brahma chicks, but can't ship. Will have some in fall.

Buff, Dark, and Light are the common colors found at hatcheries and are what is accepted by the APA.


We also have Buff Laced, Gold Laced, Blue Laced Red, Silver Laced, Partridge, Lemon Blue, Red, Blue Partridge, Blue Columbian - All in the US.

But seriously I would LOVE Brahmas and I'm glad to see you are working on them becuase most of these like the Blacks, Whites, Reds, and Milles, I actually had plans on making myself but I dont think I will have time with there breeds I am wanting to work on new colors in like Orps, Wyandottes, Sussex, and now I'm thinking maybe Rose Combed Leghorns too. But I would Love to see some pics of any or all of these varieties you've listed.

Brahmas come in soooooooooo many colours in Europe

I'm getting some blue colombian (blue with black hackes) and some white/blue colombian (white with blue hackles), and some buff colombian... to add to my black (uni) brahmas (eggs are arriving today)

Gold (partridge i.e. multiple laced) brahma are a standard colour in the UK and France

Yes, in fact in Europe there are Partridge Isabel Brahmas. For those who know what that is, . . . I bet you're drooling at the thought.

Unfortunately they only come in bantam

I'd fill my garden with them if the came in LF!

OMG!

If that color came in LF I would definitely have a huge flock of them!
I adore the Brahmas and can't hold on to them here. I just order hatchery and run them in the free range flock because of all the other projects I have going on but would make room for of those beauties in a breeding pen!

This is the first year I am getting dark Brahmas. Never liked them before but now I find them very pretty. I think it is just the Brahmas I love so much!
