I have a Brahma that's between 5 and 6 months of age and only lays intermittently. When she does lay the eggs they are very small, light in color sometimes with what looks like calcium deposits on the outside, and sometimes with no shell. I don't believe this is normal, but I have no idea. All of my other pullets (unknown breeds) are laying very well. Should I give up on the Brahma and invite her to dinner? I am worried that another hen will get a taste of one of her eggs and then have a bigger problem on my hands.
