Brahma refuses to perch

Thanks for your reply - I’ve been trying to place her on the roost when I can, hoping she’ll get the hang of it again. I think I’ll block nesting boxes and try this a few more nights, then, if she still not choosing to roost I will make her a box so she has her own place to sleep without danger of being pooped on and away from nesting boxes

Here is my hen she is the oldest and was recently injured but now recovered. Her box is on a shelf above the broody duck and another broody hen. It has a curtain so the rooster doesnt bother her, she goes to bed early.

You may find that if you build a box for her, she may switch to the perch again of she prefers it.

This would help immensely.

I have a Brahma hen (a little over a year old)

How much over year old?
14-18 months old might well be molting and uncomfortable in the roosting scrum.
