Last June I incubated 9 Brahma eggs and if I remember right 7 out of the 9 made it. 3 turned out to be roo's and in dec I got rid of 2 of them to a nice fella who had a famr and plenty of girlies to keep them happy. I kept my fav out of the lot and he normally come up to be petted as he is normally a lovey but since a neighbour decided to claim I had loads of roosters (which I don't) I had a letter about a noise issue cuz I supposedly had so many roos which I don't and the complaint was made after I got rid of the other boys it did my head in one went off then the next and then the last ya no not my thing one is enough and I would not except my neighbours to deal with that many either. I live in a more rual area to.
But like I said someone (and only one as they have to act on even 1 complaint here in the UK) and since then my male has been a bit aggressive when he normally would demand to be fussed and fed from my hand I know males can be aggressive but he was never like this before and like over night he's more aggressive and crows more. I was wondering if this might be because he is breeding with my girls and he don't want me to take them or something silly.
So my question is at 7-8 months is he sexual mature? if so what are the chances that the eggs my 13-14 hens are laying are fertile?
