I have a 5-6 month old brahma cockeral that has been laying on its side for about a day now and it seems like he went lame in his left leg. PLEASE GIVE ME INFO ON WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!! SAVE A BRAHMA BY HELPING.

well. Is it still eating and drinking?

you should isolate it as soon as possible. Also, you need to feel its leg and see f you can find where the injury is or what it is. It might be a slipped tendon, it could be a dislocated hip, something could have broken. A little more detail would be useful.

he was ok until about 4 pm yesterday i have him in a cage with food and water uts his upper leg that i think is hurting him.

just one side? it may have fallen from the roost and twisted, dislocated or broken something. Have you tried looking and feeling the leg to see if one is swollen or there is a cut? If someone can help you, put him on his back and gently move the leg back, forth, a bit sideways without forcing it too much, so you can see where the problem is.

Still drinking/eating? no funny breathing or discharge?

If it's just a sprain a bit of rest will do the trick. If it's dislocated or broken, i am not sure how you would fix that as it's never happened to me, but i am sure someone here would know how to sort it.

still clucking eating and drinking i was thinking he might of fell off the roost also i think he tore something or dislocated his hip. i had a chicken that broke her leg before a polish its healed side ways. she was lunch for a fox or something but i dont think anything it broken.

this is the same chicken as the other post right? Have you felt its leg yet so you can have an idea of what is wrong? eating is good, and i would add some vitamins and electrolytes to the water for a little extra push.
