12 week old brahmas. Mottled and partridge. Any ideas? I've raised a good few chickens, but I can not tell if the two big ones are roos or not

12 weeks could go either way on gender. The comb and wattles look pretty red, but it could be a pullet getting ready to lay. I can't really see the saddle feathers from this angle. Hopefully someone with more experience will weigh in.

Dang they are big but I still say pullets.

The one in front looks like a cockerel to me. I have no experience with Brahmas though. I have read they take longer to mature so I am doubtful the red comb is a sign of imminent laying.

Thank you three! That's kind of what I'm thinking - maybe the big one a cockerel, and the other two females. But it's hard to tell. Maybe a few more weeks to know for sure. I've heard they're slow to mature. I don't see any saddle feathers on any of them.

Looks like two pullets and one cockerel (on the right side)(I could go either way on this bird) better photos would help. That`s my guess anyway! We have four light Brahmas they are all big, but a couple are bigger than the other two.🙂

I'm also leaning cockerel on the large black mottled. That's an awful lot of color for 12 weeks, given that brahma are slower to mature.

The smallest has female specific partridge coloring so I'm 100% sure pullet for that one.

The third one could go either way. If it's mottled partridge the dark breast feathers would indicate male. But if it's black mottled with gold leakage feather color doesn't help determine gender. The face isn't nearly as red as the other mottled, but maybe a bit more red than I would expect from a slow maturing pullet at that age.
