This is a thread after my own heart.
Here's one that I did just last Thursday --
I had somebody coming to do some work for me, including delivering a new loveseat.
He had to drive through one of my drive-through gates, always kept locked, in order to deliver it.
I couldn't find my keys. Anywhere. I looked all over. I had checked earlier Thursday morning to make sure I had them, but of course when he got to the house I couldn't find them. So I couldn't let him in the gate.
Now, I do have a bolt cutter, but of course I don't know where it is. And, since I couldn't find my keys, I couldn't drive my van. So I got the workman to drive me to the closest Lowe's (roughly 8 miles each way) to buy new bolt cutters so I could cut the chain holding the gate closed.
I bought the bolt cutters. Then we drove to the closest McDonald's, since it was lunch time. I was paying, and as I lifted up my t-shirt to get my wallet -- there were my keys attached to my belt loop.
ARG!!
