Woke up at 4:30 this morning with my mind racing over my current coop build. Somehow, in my sleep, I realized that when I ordered the custom cut steel roofing for my 6x8 coop I had ordered it for 5x8 coop.

I'm supposed to pick it up today.

Please, someone assure me that I'm not the only one whose brain let's them down like this.

When I did the takeoff for my recent build I came back with 66 1x6's for the decking and siding. 120 boards in I finally realized I had doubled the SF coverage doing my chicken math.

😳

😳my math is so bad I built the roosting boxes then built the wall around it.

You're not the only one....my brain farts at least weekly, if not daily. :gig

Tho the foot print of the coop might not matter as much as the type of roof you have.

Is a simple, low slope, lean to build. My first time building this style.
