Big HELLO to everybody!
My name is Heidi, I am from Germany and have been living in western Massachusetts for about 9 years now.
I am a SAHM and still getting used to the east coast weather rollercoaster
I have been stalking this site for months now and I sure did learn a lot!
Not completely new to chickens, but a first time owner of baby chicks, I tried to get as much info as I could.
Back home my mother always had a small flock, but the chicks were raised by hens and to be honest, I did not pay that much attention to them.
Now I am trying to be the hen for 6 (hopefully) pullets....

Thank you for the warm welcome!
There is soooooo much information on here. It is unreal!
Day 5 and my little peeps are doing fine. Even the dog is ok with them.
Would be nice if he turns out to be a protector for them when they move outside.
