I have posted before about trying to get quails to hatch and the 3 tries were all failures. but on this go round we made all circumstances were perfect and we really got quail this time. They have been hatching slowly but now that 8 are out of their the first day I much more confident about the other hatching today!!! We are very excited and want to extend a great big thank you to all of you who lent me advice!!!

Congrats... mine should pop a week from this Sat. Never tried before, but temp has been good, so I have my fingers crossed.
big thing with hatching quail is to have good humidity levels, during lockdown in particular. It should be 50-55% during the first 15 days and 60-65% for lockdown.

Yeah the humidity is just as important as the temp (I think).

Been taking pictures all morning to show off the majority of the birds I have. thought I would share here too. Birds at 5 weeks old - at 2 weeks old - at one day old!!

Congratulations! We only had four eggs, and we got four chicks. I think it is probably amazing we had 100% hatch rate our first time, and with such a low number of eggs. They are 5 mths now and doing really well. My son was constantly checking temperature and humidity levels. Then during hatching, the last one couldn't get out, it had pipped all the way around, but got exhausted. I picked her out, she is now my first laying hen!
