Oh my goodness, those are some cute birdies you have! Did you suffer any climate shock moving from Alaska to Texas? I tried moving to Tennessee once but I couldn't tolerate the humidity, I thought I might die-- had to move back to Oregon.

I have a few silkies here and they don’t do well here in the humid heat. How are you keeping yours comfortable way down there?

We live in the hill country and have good soil at our house. The coop and run are under a HUGE oak tree and a pecan tree. The breeze is good here, too. I almost never see them panting, but if I do, I go out and wet the soil. They dig holes and seem to enjoy that. I give them frozen fruit if it's hot out.
