Just ordered my first 8 chicks here in Utah. Ive raised them before but about 39 years ago. I am very excitex to be back in the egg business and a member of this fascinating club. Here in Brigham City utah we can have 6 chickens max. The ones i am ordering are as follows, 2 white leghorns pullets, 3 buff orpington pullets, 3 black australorp pullets, and 2 araucana pullets. Does anyone see any issues with this selection. Hmmm, 3 + 3 + 2 + 2 does equal 6 doesnt it? Thank for the many insights on raising chickens. I already luv the club.

Yes, that is excellent chicken math - well done, you pass. Welcome to BYC and back to poultry keeping.
