(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Brand new at this!.
We brought home 4 chickens and 2 guineas back in April then added two more chickens a couple weeks later. Just two weeks ago hubs showed up with a Jersey Giant chick and we got a mystery chick for company until they get bigger
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8 chickens, 2 guineas
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Plymouth Barred Rock
2 buff orpingtons
2 easter eggers
1 jersey giant
1 mystery chicken
2 lavender pearl guineas
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs, of course, but also just the fun of having free range chickens running around the yard
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Raising kids, crochet, baking, boating
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google searching for answers and this was the most helpful site out there.
