Jinx glared around her at the façade of smiling workers. There was something going on here that she didn't like. What, she didn't know, but she was going to figure it out.

Sarah looked around the room,she was curious but was too shy to actually go up to anyone.

"Hi," said Maya, "Glad you could join us."

An unexplained cloud of confusion engulfed Lark's brain. A million questions swung around like children on monkey bars. Why are we here? and Why am I so surprised that this girl invited me to sit with her? were the most apparent out of all. Shaking her head again, or pushing the children off the monkey bars, she nodded her head.

She didn't bother to reply; it felt like she was being pulled every which way and if she spoke, a hundred different opinions, a hundred different guesses - anything, really! - would spill out of her mouth simultaneously.

Angrily, she tore a chunk of her toast off, and shoved it into her mouth. Her other hand snaked up to her braid, and gripped the dark auburn hair. Knuckles turning white, Lark's eyes narrowed to angry slits.

Releasing the braid, her palm came down on the table with an ear-deafening, sickening SLAP.

Maya jumped with a yelp, falling off of her seat, "Wha - are you okay?"

Reba jumped and looked to Lark, then around the room again, still silent.

Maya jumped with a yelp, falling off of her seat, "Wha - are you okay?"

"NO, I AM NOT!" Lark screeched, abruptly standing up. Pointing at an adult, she spread out her arms, prepared to run if she saw the chance.

Sarah jumped at the sound of the loud slap.She stared at the table where it had came from for a moment before slowly getting up and brushing herself off.She slunk to a table at the other side of the room and sat down,her eyes glued to the table.

Wintent sat down at the table quietly. She had a plate in front of her but she wasn't really hungry she just poked at the food staring at it.

Evelyn jumoed and nearly fell off of her chair. Sighing she gathered herself up and started humming her favourite song. Unknowingly casting it into some ones head.
