Spencer nodded and looked around "Maybe, I have a feeling they took our memories somehow""Selective amnesia." said Vesta. "Maybe it's the sort of thing that comes back…hopefully."
Vesta shivered slightly, visions of creepy lab rooms dancing through her head. She quickly changed the subject, "S-so I think if we want to hitch a trustworthy ride, we should avoid creepy van drivers and aim for people with dogs. Not pit bulls, 'cause a lot of the people who own them just want to look or be tough. Oh, and we could sneak onto a school bus. And we'll have to get some money." she grinned slowly, "What d'you think of Robin Hood?"
Spencer shrugged "“Rise and rise again until lambs become lions”Lark, finally torn from her fuse-box gaming by curiosity, threw open the door, causing it to slam against the railing of the porch.
"Wait up, people!" she yelled, throwing herself into a sprint to reach the two.
Vesta turned and waved Lark over, grinning.
Lark's un-zipped jacket slouched off her shoulders as she reached up and stuck each pointer finger into the appropriate ear, leaned forward, crossed her eyes, and stuck out her tongue as far as it would go, keeping the expression for several minutes. After she was satisfied, her pupils went among their normal business, darting around the area in surveillance."Well, now it's a party." said Vesta. She crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue at Lark.
