Seems to be high in protein. Different types and names. I think this is the seaweed stuff that covers ponds. Why not a feed source? It is free for the taking. Our county lakes rake it out of the dock areas. Why nt ferment it? Anyone have any knowledge of this stuff?
Thanks for looking. Fish like to eat it.

For all practical purposes, the crude protein content of Brazilian pondweed and water
milfoil may be assumed to be around 20—22 percent, whereas for other submerged
macrophytes it may be taken as 13—16 percent
