Bread for chicks?

I would like to start feeding my chicks bread along with there 20% protein grit. I already have chickens and give them a loaf a day and they love it. Also, I can just go to my bread store and pick up a trash bag of bread for 5 bucks(

), so you can see why I might want to feed my chicks bread. Also my chicks are a month old if that might help you answer my question.

they will need to be fed the proper size grit for their age. I get mine at agway. here's a pdf which explains grit, its importance, and the 2nd page has a feeding schedule.
