Breaking 2 broodies

I have two broody hens right now, one is heading into her third week of brooding with a few interventions - kept her in broody jail for three days, a bath, blocking the nest box, putting on the roost at night, two car rides. I just put her back eventually hoping she’d just stop but not seeing any hints of that.

Now, I have a second broody and only have space for one in broody jail. I can’t give them fertile eggs or babies. If I leave them...will it end on its own? I’m stressed because there’s been a little bullying with the hormones raging.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe you could buy one chick for both of them?? They don’t eat or drink, poop, dust bathe while they are broody. Idk I just feel bad. Going into my second year of owning chickens, I just feel like it’s their natural thing. It comes with owning them. Like I said I’ve never broke a broody, if that’s something you make a decision on, I’m sure there are people to help. 🙃

When my EE went broody, I pulled her out at various times throughout the day. Held her, walked with her while ruffling up her undercarriage feathers to cool her down. Then I'd Free range her and feed her treats. When I saw her gone again only to find her back in the nesting box, I'd do it again. Then, I close the coop off until night fall. I'd find her again in the box. I would pull her out ruffle/cool her undercarriage and put her on the roost. Lights out.
It took me 2 days of her persistent ways but, it worked.
Remove any ceramic eggs you have in there. Remove all laid eggs right away. Remember to cool her undercarriage & Keep removing her even when she growls. Lol

If the crate is big enough and they don't completely hate each other, you could just crate them together.

And broody jail can be wherever it's safe to house a chicken. The only reason it's better to do it in the coop or run is because if a chicken is gone too long, you increase the chances that you'll need to reintegrate her as if she's a completely new bird, as the flock may no longer accept her.

Why did you take her out of the broody jail so soon? Cordon took 4 days and I've read about it taking a week for a firmly-established broody. :)

I don't know what your run arrangement looks like, but this is my Outdoor Broody Breaker.
