One of my Buff Orpingtons went broody and hatched 2 chicks. We took them away from her because it is too cold, and the other chickens (rooster)would of killed them. I broke up her nest, and threw her outside. She keeps going back to the nest and sits. i throw her outside and she willl be back on the nest. This morning when i went o go collect eggs, two hens were in the same nest box laying eggs

and the dumb broody was sitting on thr roost staring and clucking at the two hens in the box. When i went out to collect eggs, again the stupid chicken was on the nest.

Put her in a wall-mounted cage that has a wire floor.
With food and water.
Three days should do it. If not, three more.

I read you put her on a nest box that is suspended from the ceiling so it can sway back and forth, and that would break them of it.
