Breathe Hole on Day 17 - Help Wanted!!

We are on day 17 today and have a breathe hole opened this evening! This seems strange to me--any had similar results? We did lock down this afternoon so you can imagine the surprise to see a breathe hole this evening!

Also, any suggestions on what to do regarding timing of the whole hatch assuming the main body of them come on time? I'm worried this one will need to go to the brooder by itself if the others are still days behind.

What kind of chicks? If you get an early bird, you can do a quick removal. You may find that they all are a bit early, which MAY indicate that your temp was just a bit too high. Some eggs just hatch early. Or this may be an early pip, and she may rest for a day or more before completing the process. Better IMO for her to be early than late.

The early one is an auracana x orpington. I thought the same about high temps. Thanks you for the feedback and reassuring word!
