I've only seen one with gapes and mine didn't look like that. Not saying it's not gapes, just that mine didn't look like that. If you want to treat for gapes, give it per the instructions in my last post.

I probably would give Safeguard, and I would call the vet and ask for an oral medication too.I’m willing to try anything! She is the only one having the problem.
Ok I will go get some tomorrow and talk to my vet also. I appreciate all the help!’I probably would give Safeguard, and I would call the vet and ask for an oral medication too.

I will check it and see.Are you sure it isn't her crop? Feel it and see if it is hard..or squishy. Also, tip her upside down for a couple of seconds to see if any fluid comes out. Not long...seconds.
Thank you!! I only hear her taking in breaths. She doesn’t sound congested or anything.Could be an impacted crop, or sour crop. Looks like she's trying to adjust her crop. Her crop shouldn't be enlarged in the morning, should be down. As long as you aren't hearing a crackling sound. That could mean an upper respiratory problem..like a cold for us. Good luck. I can tell you care.![]()
