1 of my reds sounds very raspy when she breaths. What can I do for her?
I would be trying to figure out why--if it is a respiratory disease, an obstruction in the airway, or a disease such as Mareks that causes paralysis and other neurological symptoms. First of all, look inside the beak and throat for any odd looking material that is abnormal. With a respiratory disease there may be other symptoms such as nasal secretions, facial or eye swelling, bubbles in the eyes, or sneezing. One of Mareks many different symptoms is gasping.
