How long does a hen stay bred after a rooster covers her? Does she need to be bred everyday?

She can maintain high fertility up to 2 weeks. Week 3 fertility tapers off, and in some instances a hen can remain fertile for as long as 4 weeks - fertility levels will be diminished.
