I don't know if this is always the case. YOu will probably get a lot of off colored blacks,.. I would expect far greater chance of leakage in the hackles and elsewhere.
 
It depends on the e-allele of the black. Chances are that it is e^b, not E, and in that case the offspring will be partridge, but will likely have less than perfect penciling as they will only have one copy of the pattern gene. On the off chance that the black is E/E, all chicks will be black.
