Breed? Age? Gender? Chicken?

In the Brooder
Ok, joking about that last question, at least I'm pretty sure it's a chicken.
Hello all! I'm an extremely new chicken owner. My friend found an abandoned chick on the street a few days ago, no siblings or mother hen around. I told her I'd take it, so since yesterday I've been reading up and buying food, a cage...
I was hoping someone would know what breed she (hopefully a girl) is. I'd love to know what she'll end up looking like. Also from her size approximately how old she might be. And I know from a picture it would be very hard to tell, but how/when can I figure out the sex?
Here is the cutie (still no name yet)-

And her racing stripe!

She looks like a easter egger maybe? she is really cute! what does her comb look like?

Oh and you will probably have to wait a bit longer, at least until she has feathered out to figure out what gender.

It could me an Easter Egger, but I don't see a beard which most Easter Eggers have. It could also be a Welsummer, Brown Leghorn, or Speckled Sussex, among others since many breeds look like that when young :) It is too young to tell the gender, I would post more pictures in about 5-6 weeks.

Several breeds Look like that as chicks. Easter eggers generally have green legs and I see this one has yellow. It could be a welsummer and those can be sexed as chicks generally. I think it is a wait and see game. Is this your only chick then? They are such flock birds...

Welcome to BYC!

Looks a lot like my Speckled Sussex. Lots of chicks have that chipmunk thing going on. My Easter Egger also had it, But the lines and markings on the head/face were much less clear on the EE. The SS had very clear, crisp looking markings.

Sussex have white skin, this chick has yellow.

Other than that, this wild-type coloring is present on probably a dozen breeds, so it's hard to say until the bird is more mature.
