Hi all,

I made couple pictures of the chickens in questions. I like to get the gender confirmed and I have 2 chickens which I can't figure out the breed. All the chickens are from Meyer hatchery and have clean legs. Age of the 4 chickens is 6 weeks.

Let's start with the roosters.

I think it is a Lavender Oprington.

Thank you and sorry for all the pictures.

I see all pullets. First one could be a production red. Third one I’m guessing an “Egger” of some sort…Easter Eggers or their hybrid called a Steele Egger. Check their website for comparison photos. I agree on the GLW. Meyer hybridizes several types to come up with their own proprietary chickens.

Interesting that the first 2 chickens are pullets. Their comb and waddles came in around 4 weeks and are pretty red. I had a homestead helper added to the order.

I looked on their website and I can't identify the breed they are.
None of the chickens had a leg band either.

Mystery does not have a muff or beard so far. The black in the comb and his feather pattern makes it hard for me to identify the breed. Dark grey feathers with a black line.

Maybe the grey pullet is a blue cuckoo maran which would be nice.

Hope someone else can shine some light on it.

The first two look like cockerels, the second one for sure. I’m leaning towards Blue Australorp for that guy. The RIR is likely a cockerel as well. The third one is a pullet, and probably some kind of colored Egger, judging from her pea comb. She’s not a Marans, Orpington, or Australorp, as those all have single combs. The fourth one is a GLW pullet. :)

The first 2 are 100% cockerels. RIRs mature early but not THAT early. The lavender one i'm on the fence about as that's pretty pink for 6 weeks. The last one is a pullet

Thank you. We will decide what rooster will stay and let them know a rooster snug in my order.

We will see what the Lavender will turn out. Meyer does not officially sell blue Australop.

1 and 2 are 100% boys. Id watch 3 and four. They look like pullets right know but Im leaning more towards cockerel.1 is a RIR, 2 is and possible blue maran, 3 Im not sure at this age and 4 is golden laced wyandotte
