Breed and Gender help!

Hey yall! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what breed my chicks are and what gender they could be? Still new and don't have a clue!

Hard to tell. If you didn't buy them as a certain breed, they may be cute little barnyard mixes.

the top chick looks to be a Barred Rock.. and both look to be females.. not sure about that bottom one.. they are adorable.

Definitely not a barred rock, the patterning you are seeing is not barring and the chick's down is the wrong color as is the plumage coming in (for future reference, barred rock chicks are f black with a dot on their head when downy and feather in in black and white).

The top bird *could* be one of a few - teh pattern you see in it's down is common to a few breeds. What color are the legs?

Neither bird is old enough for a gender guess at this point. To get both breed and gender you're going to be better waiting a few more weeks (for breed) and to at least 6 (or older) for gender to start being apparent.
