Thank you for sharing this info. I've had chickens for a year but never hatched any until a month or so ago. Now I have the chicken addiction. We have 2 RIR, one buff, 2 sex links, 1 maran, and one EE. Recently I added to that crew and bought 4 silver laced Wyandotte pullets and a cockerel. I'm tired of buying hatching eggs and love to hear a rooster crow so it's all gonna work out well. I have 12 blue maran eggs and 10 wellsummer eggs in one incubator that I hope will hatch tomorrow. I also have about a dozen silkie eggs, 4 EE, and 4 SLRW eggs in another that were given to my from the lady I bought the SLW birds from. They were just set Tuesday so they have a while to go. I don't plan to keep all of the hatches but will give them to some local friends to get them addicted too. I have a 5 year old granddaughter who already is...
