Yes, his legs are feathered. He was purchased in a straight run last spring at Rural King, so he's probably about a year old.

If his spurs are still buds/not pointed, he's under a year old.

I board my horses and these chickens are at the barn. They are not mine. Long story, but one of the hens got sick and I brought her home to doctor her. She seemed lonely, so they said I could take another hen home to keep her company. They told me this was a hen, and I am so new to chickens that since it didn't have a big fluffy tail, I went right along with it! Haha! I did notice that the feathers around the neck and head were different from the other chickens though. Feel free to have a good laugh about this one, cuz I sure am!

There is another Bantam rooster out of the barn, and I heard him crowing all the time. Did not hear this one make any sounds at all until it was in the garage, caged with the hen with severe frostbite.

He'll go back to the barn this afternoon, and I will bring home a bird that I know is a hen!
