Ah. She's almost certainly a barnyard mix, then. He likely hatched her from a green egg but that is not a guarantee that she'll lay green eggs herself. If he were intentionally breeding easter eggers or olive eggers, I'd expect him to say so. But "I don't know" normally means it isn't a pure bred anything, he runs a mixed flock.I know one is a barred rock. The black coloured one I got from a farmer and he was unable to tell me her breed but said she would lay green eggs.
