Breed and Gender?!?

This is Omelet. We got her/him from our son's 2nd grade class (they hatched chicks from eggs) and we took two home to raise (along with a Speckled Sussex that we purchased after taking the other two home). I am afraid this one is a Roo. But, because I am so new to this chicken thing, I have no clue?! Can anyone tell what breed this is (I am guessing Golden Lace Wyandotte?) and if you think it's a cockerel or pullet? Oooh look at me using the lingo. Lol.. I seriously don't know what I'm talking about.

I may have jumped the gun posting this as they are only about 5-6 weeks.

What are the telling features? Comb? Feathers? The other one we have looks similar but comb isn't as pronounced.

It’s how red and large the comb and wattles are for the age. Cockerels get them very young.
