Breed and roo or hen

I'm looking for some help regarding roo vs hen and breed on a chicken I haven't seen with my own eyes and only have one photo and a video. It's at an animal shelter and they are asking me to take it, but I can't take another roo so I'm leary. I don't really care about the breed, just interested. I understand the dangers of taking a unknown chicken, all of mine are shelter or lost and found chickens.

Any idea how old it is? I'm leaning cockerel with that comb. I'm still new so wait for others to weigh in.

I don't know the age, it was a stray dropped off at the pound.

I agree it is probably a dumped cockerel I hope someone with more experience can answer more definite though.

He’s a young Silkie mix cockerel and about 10 weeks old
