Found it living in our magnolia tree. Our neighbor said it has been there for a couple weeks and his dog keeps trying to get it. I had no idea til flew out of the tree while I was mowing. Thanks for any insight!

If she is laying brown, I would guess she is a Welsummer. Welsummers are supposed to have red earlobes, but sometimes red earlobes can have some white in them and appear white washed or pink.Is that her egg in the photo?
