These are my first ducks. I bought the grey and one of the whites about 3 weeks before I purchased the runner and the other white. They're 2-3 months old, I guess. They grew VERY fast!

Anyway, I know the whites are Pekin, I think one might be male and the other female? And I know the fawn and white is a Runner, not sure of sex..but there is some sort of tuft coming out on it's head. The grey one I don't know anything about...not even breed.

If anyone can give me any opinions, I'd appreciate them

Your right and the blue/white one is blue swedish. Males will soon get a curly tail feather. Right now listen to them, girls quack real loud and boys sort of whisper.

The grey is a blue swedish. The others are right, pekin and fawn/white runner. The tuft of feathers on the head is a crest, its gonna have a hat. Boys have 2 feathers that curl on their butt and have a quiet quack, reminds me of tree frogs, girls have a loud quack. You will notice when they are young females get raspy and honkish when their voice is changing, and males are kind of whistly as they change.

Thank you for the replies! I'm not sure why my Pekins have different colored beaks and legs though, one has tan, the other orange. I guess that could be any number of reasons. Also, the one with the orange beak and legs seems to have a feather just begining to curl...though I guess I could be over analysing it. I think the Swedish has a curl coming up also.

As for the quacks, i'll try to get a good listen, but it'll be difficult right now, they're all SOO quiet..as they still peep a little more than actual quacking, I guess because they're still young. They grew incredibly fast, we're all amazed at how big they got so quickly!

I noticed just today, and I know this change happened recently because I checked before and they were the same...but now one Pekin has a really square shaped head compared to the other. The other's is just round. There is a big difference in head shape.
Does this indicate anything? They are full grown, i'd say.

Pick them up if you can catch them. They will complain loudly and you can "get a good listen"

I've been looking at my ducks every day all day, as I'm a stay at home wife/mother. So I see them often, one had a slightly different head shape before, and a look at them yesterday showed me a HUGE difference now.
I do believe it can happen quickly...I mean, look how fast they grew! I got them about at the beginning of April as tiny chicks, and now they're nearly full grown.

Catching them might be difficult, lol...i'll have to chase them around with a net. I DO notice different quacks, but trying to tell which one it is is going to be difficult.

Does head shape indicate anything towards sex?
