Breed check: bought 3 Austalorp and 3 Americanas

Ok y'all, bought 3 &3Austalorp and Americana chicks two weeks ago.
Think I have one Cockerel in each set
Pics below. Thoughts??

Dumpling: roo behaviors already showing

Dumpling on waterer, below with head up is Betty...think Betty is a dude too

Again, Dumpling on top, Betty ( look at that comb!) between red and Ausi

You definitely don't have australorps. I would guess leghorns (which, incidentally, have huge combs); what colour are their legs?

The other ones are "Americanas" or, more properly, Easter Eggers.

I wondered where the Australorps were, I sure couldn't see any. Thought I needed glasses. I have to stop doubting myself

I will say now Easter eggers are notoriously hard to sex and will leave you second guessing until you see eggs or hear crowing.

Glad your daughter loves them no matter what they end up being.

It would be frustrating to me if I expected certain breeds and find out that they aren’t what they were supposed to be. TSC seems to be famous for these mix ups.

Agreed with the EEs, the white ones may also be Austra-whites. My sister just got a couple and they look similar to this. I'm not sure what makes up that hybrid, but they're supposedly gonna lay white. I'm waiting to see.

The whites we're in with the "Austalorp". So maybe we did get Ausies... especially if their is a white.

Well, austra-whites are supposed to be a cross between australorps and white leghorns. So, its not a white version of the australorp, a cross that won't breed true.
