Breed Clarification

Hello All!

When I got my pullet originally, I assumed she was pretty much Australorp with some Easter Egger. As she’s growing, I’m starting to see some very pretty colorful feathers on her (I tried to capture a photo as best I could). Is this normal for a mixed breed or is it a trait of something in particular? Just curious. Thanks!

Black birds will frequently have a green/purple sheen to their feathers.

That is normal for black feathering. It’s actually very pretty.
