Breed Confusion: Breeder says one thing... Chick says different. Marans Veterans Needed!!!

on the White Orpington are the feathers even coming in white they look like they are gray (lavender)? yellow chicks usally turn out to be white chickens...the am's look more like they might be ee's what color are the legs i cant really tell, the barred rock looks like a cuckoo instead and is a cockerel, the welsummer is a cockerel, and the "marans" looks like a sex link...

Here is a picture of the legs/feet of the Ameraucanas: They look orange with the black markings/wash on them.

i must admit from those pics (if those are truly her birds) they look like great stock. im thinking that she might have had someone(s) jump a fence or 3 but those marans eggs on the add look nice

she also had some marans eggs laying out so I could see them. I don't know what to think anymore. She wasn't much help over the phone. Didn't say anything that eased my concerns about my possible roos or the cuckoo issue. her place is a 45 min drive from mine. and its not like I spent a bunch of money on them. She charged me less than 3 bucks a chick. but one thing I noticed while I was there was when I asked her about each breeds personality and tempermant... she couldn't give me any info that would make one breed different than the next. she just said they all will be great layers and be nice chickens. I spent time looking into general temperments for the original breeds i wanted. and it amazed me that she couldn't say, orpingtons are known for being more docile, etc... and barred rocks are like "bla bla bla". I thought she would know a general temperment of each breed she had but she didn't.

a true dedicated breeder would know that type of info about their birds and truely wouldnt mind answering any of your questions. makes me wounder if she's the one that even takes care of them or if she hires someone else to do all that work for her for her not to know the temperment of her birds

That's what I thought too. What do you think about the rest of my little flock I got? Did you see the legs I posted for the Ameraucanas? I thought they would be considered blue AM. Is there a way to sex the smaller ones I have? AM and Orpington. (that still is an orpington, right?)
