Silly question..sure to make some of you chuckle. We are new to chickens..(4 Leghorns, 3 Ambers & 3 Bantams - 7 weeks old). We thought all 10 were pullets but now suspect one of our bantams is a rooster. Will the bantam rooster be "friendly" with only the other 2 bantams or all breeds? What will we need to know or do differtnly having a rooster amung the flock to ensure egg production and not more chicks?

You don't have to incubate the eggs the chickens will lay fertile or not..when old enough..and if you don't want baby chicks you can always take the roo out and eat him for dinner..

OK...so if I understand correctly as long as we have a rooster (of any breed) the eggs of all the hens will be fertilized and can be chicks if we let them sit on them or we incubate them.

Not necessarily. Providing the roster is fertile, and the hens' will allow it, yes, most of your eggs will be fertile. Some won't but most will! Our bantam rooster bred our standard hens, we're waiting on four eggs to hatch this week. But some roosters are infertile or simply don't have amorous intentions, so no guarantees for chicks just by having a roo.
