Breed & gender help!

The man that was giving away some of his chickens told us he would bring us some frizzles & blue Cochins. The frizzles I’m satisfied with, except the black one was supposed to be a male but from the looks of it, it’s a female. Which is okay, I guess. She’s adorable. But he also threw in another black bantam rooster, 1 white bantam rooster & 2 black bantam pullets that he called Cochins. We can’t get the right information from the man who gave away these little guys, he’s in his senior years & seems slightly confused on what he gave us now.

One of the black “Cochins” has scissor beak, & both black pullets have more than the usual amount of toes on chickens. I’ll grab some more pictures of them today, but if I could get some help with the breeds & gender of these little ones, that would be great. If I need to attach more photos, I will, these are just what I grabbed last night & this morning.

Looks to me that you have two roosters. I'm not sure if those are pure Cochins, but they look at least part Cochin.

They’re all mixed breed. How old?

Looks like at least some might be silkie mixes, which might account for the extra toes.

You’re probably right about that, I’m not even sure of all the breeds this man has but I know Cochins are his main slice. Black & blue Cochin, silkies, barred rock, & Japanese fantails

They’re all mixed breed. How old?

I was told 4 months old. I know that he has black & blue Cochin, blue face (??) game, barred rock, silkies & Japanese fantail.

Sounds about right. But I bet they are mixed somewhere in there. Cute little flock. If you want purebred, you may have to order from a well known breeder/hatchery. Good luck!

My husband just told me that he DOES have silkies as well. He’s sending me the list in just a minute. I’m pretty sure all of these little ones have the extra toes , maybe except the frizzles. I’ll have to check again

All are Probobly barnyard mixes. Cochin, Frizzle, Jappenes bantam, and silky mixed in as well.
