I agree with your your daughter as well, Blue Swedish and Cayuga. As for imprinting, most people do not realize that it takes place 24-48 hours after hatching and is to a species not an individual person. So, if you buy from a hatchery they have already imprinted on humans. However, ducks do recognize specific people and if they like you they will want to be with you.

You may want to think twice about letting them imprint on you. If they imprint is strong its adorable but when they are a little older it can be a problem as your going to want to go to work or sleep and they will be upset if you leave them out. I feel like nobody mentions that to new duck owners.

I work from home, but I think they will do like our older ducks. When they got older they fell in love with our pond and wouldn't get out to see us.

She had one when she was younger. Started getting the white within the last week or so. Maybe a hybrid? Or what breed would be your guess?

I think bib is its own gene. You have it or you dont. If she looks like this as an adult then there is no bib gene.
