I'm sorry about the photo quality, I have an older phone and it takes horrible pictures!

I ordered a rare assortment from hoovers hatchery. I have no idea what these two are. Chicks are 4 weeks old, any help identifying is appreciated! I can try to get better pictures with my fiances new phone lol!

The first chick doesn't have any feathering on the legs but the second chick does. They're both supposed to be pellets.

Yeah I'm not too sure, but my order did get screwed up so it's possible this one was an oops as well.

At first I thought that one was a Buff Orpington (solid buff all over, but not on the rare list), but then I looked more closely at the photo and saw it has some white and some light brown, so definitely not a Buff Orpington.

In general, once you rule out all the pure breeds, any remaining chicks tend to be some sort of "egger." They are the ones with the most unpredictable appearance, but they can be great chickens, and it's fun to have different colored eggs :)

I wish the hatchery would tell you what you're getting but it is kind of fun to figure it out! I thought I'd get the the rare assortment to discover some different breeds.
There's one other chick that I'm 90% sure is a welsummer so we will see what that little white one turns out to be!
