Breed identification guessing fun :)

What color are the earlobes? Red or white?
Well....I was wrong. The earloabes are CLEARLY red!! It's amazing how fast they grow...the wattles are huge today and you can see the red through the little feathers..
I just read that it means the breed isn't an Andalusian if the lobes are red. Is that accurate?

Yep, unless it's a mix of Andalusian and something else. Andalusian's have white earlobes and lay white eggs. Other chickens have red earlobes and lay brown eggs. There's some exceptions, if it's an Easter Egger/olive egger, then it's a toss up any color earlobe, any color egg. And cream legbars have a white earlobe with a pearly shine and lay blue eggs.

Hmm..that's interesting. I think it has to be an olive egger. Maybe a black copper maran crossed with a blue Americana.
The comb looks maran and with all that said about the lobea..we have to have figured it out this time lol

I'm not sure if it would help or not lol it would be fun to see what yours look like though! I can search the internet ;p
So...I'm kinda confused but am sticking with the olive egger... Today the lobes don't look red..there is a very slight Hugh of red but they are like metallic looking..blueish whitish purpleish lol maybe that's totally normal..I read that the color changes with their mood. I did notice that with their combes but didn't realize the xolor of their earlobes changes that dramaticAlly. I love those chicks
