I appreciate all the feedback! She is definitely more bold than the other two. Rural King here doesn’t claim to sell Rhode Island Blues/Production Blues, so very surprised as she was in the Sapphire Gem box. I guess that’s what happens when you buy from those places, mystery chicks in every box . I’m excited to see how her personality develops as she turns into a hen. Thanks for all your input, I would have never guessed she was a RIB .

Did you cross a purebred barred bird and a purebred blue one and get a chick with red leakage?
When crossing two mixes without red, it’s entirely possible to get a red chick. Or a white chick. However, when crossing specific purebred birds, there’s certain traits that aren’t possible in the offspring. Genes can’t come from nowhere.

can't guarantee either parent was pure coming from a commercial hatchery either! lol
