Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! If they've been laying about a month, I'd say that's pretty much the size they're going to stay but diet does play a part. I keep ours on layer feed with oyster shells on the side as soon as they start laying.

That’s what we’ve done

Well, they might get a little larger with age too. I wouldn't lose hope yet.

We have silkies which are small eggs so we're used to it. For example, if we bake a cake that calls for two eggs, we use three.

Welcome. I think you have a light sussex. Also, my pullet's eggs were small for about 2-months before they got bigger - some a little longer. The first picture is that of light sussex's. My Delaware does not look like your light sussex. I attached a pic of Molly also.
