breed of ducks?

Any ideas? Male female breed? Around 13 weeks. Any information on the breed?

pics look too small. The darker one looks to me like a black phase of Blue Swedish. No idea on the other one, could be female Welsh Harlequin or maybe a young Saxony. Do you see any curly tail feathers? That's an obvious sign for a drake(male).

^^ you are right ramirezframing, the bills both fit the shape of a Call Duck. Sweeds, Wellies, and Saxonies all have longer bills.

Well bad news about the ducks, a roommates dog got loose and killed the yellow duck and a barred rock hen, not a happy camper to say the least! Now the other duck is lost and calling out to find his friend

Aww, sorry to hear that, my call duck did the same thing when the nebibors dog got his mate. Then he tried tomake buddies with the mallard draks, but they are so mean. Eventually he became pals with the two female pekins I had and a banty hen I had. I no longer have any ducks because the same dog killeed them all. Np longer have ducks, but now have the dogs under control.Maybe you can find another call duck,so that he can have a buddy.

I'm gonna have to cuz I feel so bad! Haha those two were lovers. What did you do to keep clean water with your ducks? They make the water filthy and I know its them because I had my 10 chickens separate and it was usually pretty cleans. I have the water raised but its almost like the ducks, now duck, will grab a mouth full of food and drop it in the water.

Ya, they do that. I never did find a way to make it where they didnt get things in it. I just cleaned my waterer out everyday. I had a kiddy pool for ducks and that water was absoultley disqusting, becuase while they swam they would go to the bathroom. And then drink out of it, I never quite understood that when they could get clean water in the coop. I only cleaned their pool every weekend.
