easter egger of some sort, and he looks like either he's rough on his lady friends or there's lice or mites... but I lean towards he's rough, since he looks luxuriously feathered compared to that red sex link in the foreground.

Welcome to BYC! He’s beautiful and I agree some sort of EE, he looks a lot like my “Olive egger” boy. Is he mostly a good boy or does he have a bad attitude (mine does)? All my boys have a “favorite” as well, but none are quite as in need of a saddle as his girlfriend there!

He’s a very easy rooster. I’ve just gotten him to where he takes string cheese from my hand. He is obsessed with her, protects her and feeds her. He is a bit of a bully to my other chickens but only when they have food she wants. It was just him and her since he showed up.

Thank you for the Welcome. I have fallen in love with chickens and read everything I can. We just built our chicken yard (24’x36’) so we’ve been adding to our flock. I’ve discovered a silkie hen in my run of silkies and still trying to decide if I have a Barred Rock rooster in there as well.
