Breed on these two?

I agree, I believe you have two pretty Welsummer pullets

I had never even heard of that breed before this thread.
I looked them up and wow. That’s these girls.
Then I learned there is apparently some confusion between these and brown leghorns. I could see that.
I’ll be watching for ear lobes more when looking at chickens!
I’m a nerd and I love learning anything. But i especially love how much I’m learning about these guys!

Brown leghorn pullets look very much like Welsummers, but they have white earlobes.
Learning about chickens can be fun, they're fascinating little things

Brown Leghorns also have much larger combs, higher tail set, and a smaller and more upright body shape.

I know!! I knew someone would call me out on that. It should be out of there today.
We’re making modifications today so that Boss can have a bigger outside area next to the ladies for a while.
