Breed (pictures coming soon )

Some chickens are bred to lay sooner, & die younger. These are high Production hybrids.

I avoid this variety of chicken.

Well the breeder i got them from didnt say anything about that so i will ask when i get the chance

I have a black chicken, her feathers have a purple and green sheen. Deep brown eyes, has a beard and pea comb that has barley grown yet ( Shes only 3 months old. ). She has black feet and 4 toes. The picture down below looks like her.

I suspect she might be a easter egger or olive egger.
Next time, mention that it is not your photo clearly.

We need a photo of her to be sure. Too early to assume anything.

My first one lived 6 years, my second one lived for 4 years. I'm not sure if they would have lived longer or not because #1 died from sour crop and #2 died from a internal busted egg.
Interesting. Never heard of any Production hybrids living that long.

I heard of one that lived to 8 years.

Saw it in the gallery.
Still interesting. I've always heard about their early deaths.

Must be less productive Production hybrids that are longer living. Only thing I can think of.

Well...my two girls lay everyday and take a rest during winter (last year one laid through winter), so I am highly hoping they live long.
