A local TSC had their one bin of chicks marked down to $1 last week, I'd been waiting since the prior week for price to drop. They were supposed to be RIR and Ameraucanas straight runs but I figured take a chance. I told them to give all the Ameraucanas, 6 total. Then decided to get 4 RIR. After getting them home and set up in their new brooder, I noticed this one chick wasn't an Ameraucana or a RIR. I'm thinking maybe a French Cuckoo Maran or Cuckoo Maran but need input to be sure. I have 3 Cuckoo Marans and a French Cuckoo Marans already but got them at 4 months old. I think its about 3 weeks now, can anyone tell possibly the gender. As it is, I think one of the RIR's may be male and I've already got 6 roosters to 38 hens (lost 2 this week, unknown cause).
Thanks in advance.

I hadn't even paid attention to the comb, I was focused on the color pattern. I don't recall my other E.E. having a spot on their heads. Could she be a he?
Thanks

The spot mean it carries at least one barring gene. Its not an indication of sex.

Yeah I think that she might be a he.
The wings make me think so.

Also, when did his tail feathers start growing in?

I got this one and 9 others 9/4, they were about 2 weeks already. This is only one with this color and pattern. Most already had tiny tail feathers sticking out. I think she/he did too.

Here's only photo from day gotten. Has a tiny tail starting to grow.
